When words feel insufficient, or you’re having a hard time finding them, maybe sit down at the piano and work some stuff out!
I’ve been toying around with something like this—a piece of music for/about red wolves—for a while, and I’m still just doing that, toying around. This is a brief little clip edited around my dog’s pretty persistent barking that was otherwise happening throughout.
Figured I’d share it on this cloudy Memorial Day, since I’m still caught up with other work while my family braves a pretty cold just-opened pool. I hope to share a longer wolf-related update very soon.
Oh yeah, click here and scroll down if you’d like to see adorable video of a very new red wolf pup howling for the first time; it’s so delightful. And an added sweet connection: its parents are Oak and Adeyha, who had a litter of pups at the museum of science near me (and any other Durhamites/North Carolinians reading this) last summer.
